I like Matthew Fellings comment that news is loosing its edge. It’s a cool Mark Twainesk phrase but its baloney. For those after entertainment news via the web, it’s true they can access it. And there is probably more of it around than there should be. But when hasn’t that been the case?
Even in general water cooler conversation people feel a lot more comfortable discussing Brangalina or whatever, than they do about bombings in Istanbul.

The point is if people want to find out about the latest in proxy servers they can click on wired.com if they want find about the latest go-cart results they can click on http://www.gkcv.com.au.

People are moving away from big news institutions to more specified, targeted information that affects them directly. Information is there for you use and digest at your digression. What could be better?
